The tradition of the Pennsylvania Country Butcher is one of thrift and economy. The Pennsylvania Dutch farmer was self-sufficient, raising, slaughtering, and preparing his own meats. Curing, smoking and pickling were all employed to preserve virtually every part of the animal. Each family guarded its own collection of recipes and techniques, many of which are still used today at Laudermilch’s to bring a true old-fashioned taste to the foods we produce.
The horse and wagon days may be long gone, but no one at Laudermilch’s has forgotten the importance of individual attention to each customer who enters our shop. Our friendly staff is always at your service to explain cuts, weights and cooking techniques. Full service means you never leave Laudermilch’s with less than the very best in fresh meat and foods.
We sell over ten different varieties of sausages, all made fresh on location, and our filled items are stuffed with our own homemade filling. Laudermilch’s fresh poultry display is the largest in the area, offering chicken, turkey, duck, and Cornish hens.
We are proud to carry products prepared in our own kitchen, too. In our bakery, we prepare a large variety of “made from scratch” delights including wet bottom shoofly pie, cookies, cakes, whoopie pies and more. Our deli not only features lunchmeats and cheese, but we also cook over 150 ready-to-eat foods in our own kitchen,
